Over 20 Radicals including new SR3 RSX and SPYDER models take Circuit of the Americas by storm.
As across the Atlantic Radicals were racing around Monza, over 20 cars from across North America were taking on another Formula One circuit for the Radical Festival Event at Circuit of the Americas.

Drivers and dealers from across North America, from as far as Spring Mountain on the West Coast to WISKO Race Engineering on the East Coast, descended on Austin in October to take on the locals from Radical Texas.

Rookie Radical drivers Richard Thomas and Peter Heffring from Virginia impressed in their SR3 RSXs as did Texan Philip Berber, Spring Mountain’s Doug Ramirez and former Radical Cup race winner George Kurtz. However it was Spring Mountain’s reigning champion Ron Fletcher who stole the show.

Fletcher dominated the SR3 class to record two class pole positions and two race wins in his Dunlop shod car. His only hiccup came in Saturday’s endurance race, when George Kurtz broke through to claim victory after an outstanding drive.

The fastest SR3 time of the weekend was a 2:09.756 set by British hotshoe Robbie Kerr in Peter Heffring’s SR3 RSX. For his own efforts Heffring was presented the Radical Star Driver award presented by factory representative Tom Drewer.

The SPYDER of Shane Morris and SR8 of Carlo Dimarco shared the spoils in the V8 class, while Nevada’s David Struss stepped onto the podium after each race.

Local John Pritzlaff and international driver Roberto Dal Pont collected victories in their respective classes.
